Betz Transformers, Inc. Field Services Division Provides
New Transformers:
Betz Transformers provides new transformers through purchase agreements with
top O.E.M. providers worldwide.
Remanufactured Transformers:
Betz Transformers specializes in the remanufacture of standard and custom
designed transformers. This procedure includes both pole and padmount 1-phase up to and including 833 kVA and 3-phase compartment
padmounts and substation units from 10 to 5000 kVA. All remanufactured units are computer designed and
wound with new copper conductor, new insulation and PCB free oil.
Reconditioned Transformers:
Betz Transformers can recondition any transformer up to and including 5 mVA Power units. All reconditioned units are
tested and the cores are baked if moisture is present.
New gaskets and seals are applied and the units are filled with PCB free oil.
Transformer Salvage:
Betz Transformers purchases and/or provides credit for all non-contaminated (<50 PPM PCB’s) units. Records are precisely maintained by serial number as
to the final disposition of each unit received and information can be provided
if unit is destroyed or reused.
All remanufactured and reconditioned transformers are tested with a Phenix
TTS 20-1 Transformer Test Set. The units are then sanded and painted prior to shipping.
